Hello my name is Damian Curtis, I am based in Cambridge England. I have written the depression guide book because after suffering from and recovering from depression myself, I really wanted to share all the knowledge I'd learnt from my study and experience. I have made this site because I would really like to help others who may be going through a similar experience with there mental health.
I first became ill with glandular fever when I was at university, this lasted several weeks then developed into chronic fatigue over the course of a year, which then in turn developed into depression and anxiety attacks.
Its hard to say exactly how long these symptoms went on for, but I guess it took about another two to three years of seeing different complimentry therapists and psychologists, as well as reading many different self help books to get back to full mental health.
Now that I have recovered and have my life back, I find it easy to forget the bad times as well as the ways I found to best get out of them. I have written the depression guide book as a reminder to my self as well as a guide to others , because if you don't remember the mistakes you have made you are destined to repeat them.
